Hong Kong Disneyland / The Restaurants

I have visited every restaurant in Hong Kong Disneyland over a period of time, trying each spot several times. Disney does it best when it comes to making one feel right at one when dining in one of their theme restaurants. I will give a short review of each theme restaurant, with a conclusion at the end of my journey.

Fantasyland:

Clopin’s Festival of Foods – This colorful restaurant is inspired by the Disney movie "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" and serves China's Great North West style of food, including noodle soup and wok friend dishes. Enjoy Sichuan Dan Dan noodle soup, Kung Pao Chicken and BBQ Pork with Rice. the Hunchback of Notre Dame must have really liked Chinese food!

Royal Banquet Hall
– Dine like a prince or princess in a Royal Hall that serves international food including American Grill, Japanese, Chinese Dim Sum and Specialty Rice Dishes. Enjoy delicious spring chicken, beef steak, beef burger and sushi.

Adventureland
:

River View Café
– Relax as you overlook the Rivers of Adventure, enjoy this café's famous fried rice and other dishes inspired by regions of South East Asia and China. This café is designed for large groups, so bring the whole tribe!

Tahitian Terrace Restaurant
– Sit in the tropical atmosphere of this restaurant and taste South Asian- and Guangdong-style noodle soup and rice dishes, as well as Curry Laksa Noodle Soup, Thai-style fried rice and Roasted Chicken with Rice.

Main Street U.S.A.:

Plaza Inn Restaurant
– Inspired by the movie "Mulan", this restaurant serves Cantonese-style dim sum, signature shrimps, spring rolls, BBQ honey-glazed pork fillets and other delicious meals.

Main Street Corner Café
– Have a taste of American Midwestern cooking, as well as China and South Asia food at this Victorian-style, sit down restaurant. Enjoy Mickey Mouse Waffles with black and white ice cream, Kashmiri chicken curry and more!

Tomorrowland
:

Starliner Diner
– In this space-themed restaurant, enjoy American-style fast food such as fried chicken and BBQ chicken wings, as well as Pork Chop Burger and more! Afterwards, stand under the refreshing rocket that gently mists water.

Comet Café
- Enjoy Jiangnan-style Chinese dishes such as Fried Pork Chop Noodle, Hangzhou chicken with black mushroom and much more.

I can assure you that The Rock and Roll Chef truly likes Chinese food. It is somewhat a shame though that at an American theme park such as Hong Kong Disneyland, all one can get is Chinese food. Yes one can find a few dishes with American type names, but it is the ingredients that are still from China. In fact in my opinion, the cheapest mainland Chinese ingredients are used. Thus the food is tasteless! Every restaurant sells rice, with minimal variations except with the region the rice is from in mainland China.

Disney is what food is all about. Unfortunately the only options that one may have when visiting Hong Kong Disneyland is to, eat before you arrive at the park, bring your own food, or starve.
